Nagel, as she has done repeatedly over the years, has managed to create magic with very little when it comes to LOmbre Des Merveilles. The top note is Black tea, the middle note is Incense and the base note is Tonka Bean. The fragrance is simple, very simple, but also gorgeous, lovely and shows that stripped down fragrances can work. The notes roll from one in to the other, each getting a chance to shine, each dancing with the next before handing over the reigns and each being more complex than they have any right to be by themselves, yet the fragrance still remains mostly simple and straight forward. This is completely unisex, unique, and can be used in pretty much any situation.

Although this can be worn year round with out any issues, it is most suited to Autumn and Spring.
Created by Valerie Garnuch Mentzel and launched in 2019 by Lalique, Velvet Plum is a Leathery fragrance for women launched under the Les Compositions Parfumees line. The fragrance contains notes of Cashmeran, Patchouli, Woodsy Notes, Iris, Flowers, Osmanthus, Heliotrope, Tuberose and Musk. The most notable of the notes in the fragrance are the Cashmeran note, which gives a lovely warming and cosy scent to the fragrance. Given its warming nature the fragrance is best used in the colder weather of Fall and Winter.

The opening to the fragrance is a unique one, with the Bay Leaf giving a vegetal feeling to the fragrance, before the Vanilla emerges and begins to slowly take over, along with the Heliotrope, to give a green Vanilla scent with a touch of spice. Its heavy, yet delightful, and feels like an amazing cosy hug from the fragrance. Given its heavy nature this is much better in the colder months of the year, rather than the warmer ones, and its idea from late fall to the vert start of Spring.
