Launched in 2004 Hermessence Poivre Samarcande is a gender neutral fragrance created by the legendary Jean Claude Ellena for Herm�s. The fragrance is a woody spicy one, created as part of the Hermessence collection and was designed as an homage to the city of Samarkand, in Uzbekistan. The fragrance contains notes of Caraway, Green Notes, Oak, Oak Moss, Paprika, Patchouli, Pepper and Virginia Cedar. The fragrance is spicy, lead mostly by the pepper and the spices, but its also not over-powering and like many of Ellenas creations its light, simple, versatile and airy, yet elegant and luxurious.
